FORMER PRO WOMEN'S HOCKEY PLAYER NAMED U10 GIRLS HEAD COACH

The Valley Jr. Warriors are thrilled to welcome McKenna Brand as the U10 girl's head coach. McKenna brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, making her an invaluable addition to the team.

McKenna's background is impressive, having graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Psychology in 2018. During her time at Northeastern, she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills as an assistant captain, helping her team secure their program's first Hockey East championship. Her on-ice performance was equally outstanding, consistently ranking among the top players in the league and earning accolades such as being named to the WHEA All-Tournament Team and receiving First Team Hockey East All-Star honors.

Following her collegiate career, McKenna continued to excel in the professional arena, playing for the Boston Pride in the PHF from 2018 to 2023. As an assistant captain, she played a pivotal role in leading her team to consecutive Isobel Cup Championships in 2021 and 2022. McKenna's achievements, including being a top scorer in the league and contending for the league MVP title, underscore her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.

With her extensive playing experience and leadership abilities, McKenna is well-equipped to mentor and guide the young athletes of the Valley Jr. Warriors. Her passion for hockey and commitment to player development make her an ideal choice for the role of head coach. The organization is confident that McKenna will inspire and empower the U10 girls to reach their full potential both on and off the ice
