VJW ALUMNI CHRIS KREIDER RIDING A SIX GAME POINT STREAK

Valley Jr. Warriors Alumni, Chris Kreider, is off to a solid start to the 2022-2023 NHL season. Now in his 11th season with the New York Rangers, Kreider has played in 27 games recording 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 total points. The veteran is currently is riding a six-game point streak which he extended last night with a goal against the Blues. 

Kreider is coming off one of his best NHL seasons with a career-high 81 goals and 52 assists. The NY Rangers forward is currently on pace to hit those numbers once again this season. Kreider has been named to the NHL All-Star team in 2020 and 2022 and been named an alternate captain for the Rangers the last five seasons.   

Kreider, a Boxford, MA native was with the Valley Jr. Warriors. for four years from 2004-2008. He then attended Masconomet Regional High School for two years before playing his junior and senior year at Phillips Academy Andover. Kreider then went on to play at Boston College where he became one of the top players in the nation and was selected in the first round (No. 19) in the 2009 NHL draft. In 2020, Kreider signed a seven-year contract with the NY Rangers.
