Congratulations to CPC alum Kristýna “Kalty” Kaltounková on making history as the first overall pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft!
Kaltounková was selected first overall by the New York Sirens, becoming the first player in CPC program history to earn the top draft spot.
A standout at Colgate, Kalty capped off her collegiate career ranked top-10 in the nation in goals this season. She set a program record with 111 career goals, including 19 game-winners, and finished just six points shy of the all-time points record with 229 (110 goals, 119 assists) in 164 games. Her career was decorated with accolades such as multiple ECAC Forward of the Week honors and the ECAC Tournament MVP award.
On the international stage, she’s been a key contributor for the Czech National Team and was named Czech MVP at the 2018 IIHF World Championship.
Now heading into the pro ranks, Kalty continues to raise the bar and inspire the next generation.
About CPC:
“This model is not for everyone,” said Goodrich “the program is designed for the driven player, who is focused on their own advancement and believe in a process to get to where they want to be as a player 1-2-3 years out. All of our players have extremely busy academic and fall sport schedules, therefore it is important for their fall hockey training to be focused and condensed in one location and limit travel so they can train with a purpose.”
