Valley Jr. Warriors
2022-23 Girls Program Description

For the 2022-23 season, the Valley Jr. Warriors will be offering full season teams at the U8, U10, U12 & U14 levels, as well as a Fall training program for prep school players U16-U19. The teams will be playing and training out of Lawrence Valley Forum, Haverhill Valley Forum and the Chelmsford Forum. The Warrior teams led by renowned Girls Hockey Director, Seth Goodrich, are members of the Elite 9 Girls Hockey League.

The members of Elite 9 are afforded the unique opportunity to also play against co-ed teams in the Valley Hockey League in addition to their E9 girls schedules. The Warriors girls program provides unique training and competition that no other girls program in New England offers, including the ability to compete in the Valley Hockey League against boys teams from across Massachusetts. "The weekly competition against boys teams is a key part of our girls development" says Goodrich, "it forces our girls to make decisions a little bit quicker and play a little tougher. The results of these co-ed games are obvious in our Mass & USA rankings against teams that only play against girls teams."

The Valley Hockey will be a key component of the Valley Jr. Warrior Girls training and competitive development. A large majority of NCAA DI girl commits from Massachusetts over the last 4-5 years have honed their skills and developed into an elite player, by competing at the U10 and U12 levels against the top boys teams in the VHL. This opportunity to compete in the VHL is only available to a select few girl programs in New England, including the Jr. Warriors and Boston Americans.

U8 Supplemental Team 2022-23

New for 2022-23 the U8 team is designed to "Supplement" the girls co-ed Valley League team. The U8 girls’ teams will get together for 1 weekly skills session for 22 weeks and a 15-20 game schedule against a combination of Elite 9 Girls and VHL

This will give the girls the opportunity to enjoy the comradery of an all-girls team, while still enjoying the benefits of playing for their co-ed team at this young age.
