2010-11 VJW Tryout Registration Now Available |

 The schedule has been set and registration has officially been set to “open” for VJW Tryouts.
Interested players can get a jumpstart on the 2010-11 season by marking their calendars for VJW Tryouts – which will be held from February 22 through March 18 at the Haverhill Valley Forum – and signing up online.
This year’s tryouts will kick off on February 22 when candidates looking to compete on the VJW Mite Minor squad hit the ice in Haverhill. The Mite Minor team is open to all players who were born in 2003 or later. This new squad gives youngsters a chance to participate in top-level hockey in a fun, competitive environment. The VJW Mite Major squad (shown in photo to the right) is another strong draw as this year's team has been competing in the New England Hockey League’s Mite National division against ’01 level teams.
Tryouts for the rest of the impressive list of teams (see complete list below) will follow throughout the month of March.
Each player will take part in two days of tryouts. Following the second tryout day, the field of candidates will be reduced and those players will return for a third and final callback date. Teams will be determined following that practice.
The VJW program is unique in that it offers a wide range of developmental services for players. Weekly practices are complemented by competitive play in leagues such as the New England Hockey League, Mass Select League, Empire Hockey League (Junior B) and Eastern Junior Hockey League (Junior A). In addition, teams test their skills by taking part in regional, national and international tournaments. Older players also enjoy in-house strength and conditioning programs provided by Athletic Evolution. A complete list of Program Features is available.
For more than a decade, the Valley Jr Warriors have been recognized as one of the premier AAA programs in the Northeast. The program’s history of excellence speaks for itself as it has captured 35 Massachusetts State Championships, 15 NEHL titles and developed more than 100 NCAA Division I and III Players.
It is no surprise that the program produces championship level teams since it enjoys one of the best facilities in New England in the Haverhill Valley Forum and the top coaching staff in the country.
