Four Warriors Headline EJHL All Star Classic
All-star season has arrived and four members of the Valley Junior Warriors team have been recognized for their outstanding play this season. Team leading scorer Chris Wyman will join teammates Brian Albert, Loren Barron and Chris Wilcox at the annual EJHL All Star Classic, which will be held on Monday, January 21 at the Tri-Town Ice Arena in Hooksett, N.H. Also taking a lead role in the mid-season festivities is Head Coach Andy Heinze, who was selected as one of two EJHL coaches to lead the all stars.

Headlining the field of players is Chris Wyman (Bartlett, IL), who has been the Warriors leading scorer all season long. Wyman, who has posted 13 goals and 19 assists in 29 games, has been a key element to the Warriors success this year. Wyman has a way of making an impact when it counts. Earlier this season when the team was in need of a crucial league victory, Wyman stepped to the plate and delivered one of the top weekend performances of the year. He registered one goal and four assists in two games to help snap his team’s six-game losing streak. As a result of his play, Wyman was honored that week as the EJHL Player of the Week. He also boasts a team-leading 8 power-play goals.

Another bright star for the Warriors this season has been defenseman Loren Barron (Glendora, CA), who has been the team’s best performing blueliner. Much like Wyman, Barron has caught the eye of many onlookers when he was named the EJHL Rookie of the Week earlier this year. The 6-1, 180 pound rookie stands as the top point getter among defensemen with two goals and eight assists.

Albert, who stands at 5-11, 185 pounds has played the role of set-up man like no one else. The 20-year-old sits in second place overall in scoring, but has posted an incredible 25 assists this season. He has also demonstrated his prowess at finding the back of the net by lighting the lamp six times

On the other side of the ice, Wilcox has found a home on the Warriors blueline. A tenacious defender, Wilcox has contributed offensively with a goal and eight assists thus far in the season.

Head Coach Andy Heinze, who will be making his eighth appearance as a coach at the EJHL All Star Classic, will look for these four players to lead his team to a successful second half of the season. In one of the tightest battles for league supremacy in recent years, the Warriors are in fine shape to make a late-season run as they stand in fourth place overall in the EJHL’s Northern Division.

Prior to the EJHL All-Star game, the Empire League will host its annual All Star Classic. Representing the Valley Junior Warriors in that game will be forward Aron Ward (Dunstable, MA). Ward has been an offensive catalyst for the Warriors all season long as he leads the team with 8 goals and 11 assists in 29 games.
