Congratulations to Valley Jr. Warrior Casey Fitzgerald – Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres
Casey Fitzgerald, a North Reading native, who played his youth career for the Valley Jr. Warriors was drafted in the third round by the Buffalo Sabres. Fitzgerald, a righty defenseman, currently plays for the Eagles at Boston College, alongside brother Ryan and other former Jr. Warriors Colin White, Brendan Silk, and JD Dudek.
As a freshman, Casey played in 39 games, was the leading defensive scorer (4-23-27), and was named to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie team.

In two years, the team put together a record of 116–18–3 and finished No. 11 in the nation, then captured the Massachusetts State Championship title fir three years and earned trips to the USA Hockey Nationals, advancing to the semi- and quarter-finals. They were consistently ranked in the top-10 in the nation.
