Ryan Fitzgerald Scores Four Goals at 2012 World Junior A Challenge
Ryan Fitzgerald had to leave his Warriors teammates this past month to represent the United States at the 2012 World Junior A Challenge, which was held in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
Fitzgerald was a spark plug from the start as he scored a hat trick to help the United States defeat Canada East by a score of 9-1 on opening day.
He finished with four goals in four games and was part of a United States team that went on to win its fourth gold medal at the World Junior A Challenge with a 6-3 win over Canada West.
Performances like this have garnered Fitzgerald (seen celebrating with his U.S. team following their gold-medal victory) attention in the latest Red Line Report, which appeared in USA Today.
In that 2013 NHL Entry Draft preview, Fitzgerald was one of the rising
stars because he has proven to have “...no problem with the step up in

competitiveness, but for his passion for the game and his ability to
make everyone around him better.”
Fitzgerald was the only EJHL player selected to this year’s roster.
