Congratulations to the Valley Jr Warriors ’98 Selects for capturing the 2009 Boston Jr. Terriers Holiday Tournament contested from December 28 through December 30 in Canton.
The Warriors opened the tournament by splitting a pair of games. A tough 3-2 loss against the host Terriers was balanced out with a dominating 11-0 decision verses the North Shore Raiders. The second day brought much of the same as a 3-1 loss to the Flames was neutralized by another huge victory… this one an 8-1 win over the Boston Little Rangers.
On Wednesday, the Warriors brought their best as the squad knocked off the Manchester Flames by a score of 5-1.
The Warriors will look to keep the momentum going as they enter a critical stretch of Mass State Hockey Select League games. The next challenge will be a weekend away series against the Western Mass Blades on Saturday and then the Neponset Valley River Rats on Sunday in Foxboro.
